Course description
This 10-hour CE course discusses the latest advances and research in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy. Participants will explore important practitioner considerations including ethics, protocols, and integration techniques. The course will cover both individual and group healing protocols, the indigenous roots of psychedelic medicine, and the difficulties the field faces in terms of regulation and approval of psychedelic-assisted therapy.
Participants will learn about the therapeutic applications of DMT, the unique effects and dosage protocols for ketamine, and the use of MDMA in trauma healing. The course also explores how psilocybin and MDMA are being used to treat depression, PTSD, and addiction. Additionally, the course discusses the connection between trauma and autoimmune conditions through psychoneuroimmunology, how practitioners can support the integration of spiritual experiences, and the role of psychedelics in end-of-life care.
Teachings are appropriate for healthcare professionals as well as the general public. Healthcare professionals will be able to incorporate the tools and practices offered in this program in ways beneficial to clients or patients.

CE credits for psychologists are provided by the Spiritual Competency Academy (SCA) which is co-sponsoring this program. The California Board of Behavioral Sciences accepts CE credits for LCSW, LPCC, LEP, and LMFT license renewal for programs offered by approved sponsors of CE by the American Psychological Association.
